Purple

Spring has arrived in Pretoria, and with it the jacaranda blossoms. Driving home the other day, I spotted this purple Beetle... the exact shade as the jacarandas on the street where it was parked. Sarah took this quick shot out the window. Not the best picture, but I still like the concept!

Its a stunning picture! I love it!

I've grown to appreciate the Jacarandas so much more after taking my aunt and uncle around Pretoria last week. They're tree specialists and have traveled all around the world to look at trees. They were wowed by Pretoria's trees and stopped hundreds of times to take photos of the Jacarandas. They also spent some two hours photographing and studying the Wonderboom. Some things I've taken for granted but are actually really remarkable...
